Born in Porto Santo Stefano on 28 April 1861, Giorgio Ceragioli carved his path between sculpture, painting and decorative arts. Trained in Florence under Ulisse Cambi, he later settled in Turin, where his imposing statue Un Bersagliere alla carica celebrated military vigour and found a home in the Royal Armoury. Embracing the spirit of the fin-de-siècle, he adorned theatrical and civic spaces with lyrical ornament and figurative grace. He also navigated applied arts: textiles, medals and decorative commissions highlighted his versatility. Ceragioli died in Turin on 11 December 1947, leaving a legacy of sculpture infused with Italian elegance and the decorative pulse of his time.
